March 2000. Prior to ADC, Matt held engineering positions at
Telogy Networks, ACT Networks, AT&T Bell Labs, ITT and

over 26 years of work experience, out of which over 16 years
have been in the IT Industry. He was one of the initial
members of the management team with IMR India, one of the
most successful US-based offshore software development
companies in India. As Vice President of Business Planning,
Vish contributed significantly to IMR India's growth to a
330 people company in less than two years. In addition, as
one of the Financial Managers at Ashok Leyland Finance, one
of the largest non-banking finance companies in India, he
was instrumental in handling and coordinating the company's
IPO in 1986. Previously, he was the Director/VP Finance of
Sunflower India and was the President/Chief Operating

Uttiya has been instrumental in running an effective
software development operation across Bloomington and India
for IDeaS. In his 7 years with the company, he has setup a
software development group for his company in Pune India,
and architected/planned software products and projects for
execution across multiple sites. IDeaS India is now a
strategic partner to IDeaS US, a large part of which is due
to Uttiya’s management and technical expertise. Prior to
IDeaS, Uttiya worked for Texas Instruments (TI) Bangalore,
India from 1985-1992 as one of their first software
engineers; TI was the pioneer in setting up a software
subsidiary operation in India. The success of TI India in
the late eighties led to the “software off-shoring
revolution” in Bangalore and India that is making waves
today. Following TI, Uttiya worked for IBM Global Services,
India from 1992-1996, as one of their first software
managers; in this role he managed the first ever overseas
dedicated software center (ODC) for a foreign client. Uttiya
also worked with Samsung Electronics Corporation, India
from 1996-1997 as their General Manager responsible for
coordinating software development projects outsourced from
Samsung Korea to Indian software companies. Uttiya has
significant experience in both sides of outsourcing, having
worked in both India (in outsourced projects) and in the US
(as an outsourcer of projects). He brings strong
capabilities in strategic planning of offshore operations,
launching and consolidating software development in offshore
locations, architecting software products that are conducive
to design/development/testing across geographical locations
and management of technical projects across distributed
locations. |
