Instructors & Moderator

Matt Noah, CEO, NetSuds.  Matt started NetSuds after leaving ADC in Minnetonka, Minnesota where he worked in Business Development and the Office of Technology until March 2000. Prior to ADC, Matt held engineering positions at Telogy Networks, ACT Networks, AT&T Bell Labs, ITT and Rockwell. He holds a MS degree in EE from Stanford University where he graduated in 1981.  He has developed products for international use and has worked with engineering teams from Canada, India, Poland and India.
Vish Subramanian, General Manager of Consulting, Netbriefings. He has over 26 years of work experience, out of which over 16 years have been in the IT Industry. He was one of the initial members of the management team with IMR India, one of the most successful US-based offshore software development companies in India. As Vice President of Business Planning, Vish contributed significantly to IMR India's growth to a 330 people company in less than two years. In addition, as one of the Financial Managers at Ashok Leyland Finance, one of the largest non-banking finance companies in India, he was instrumental in handling and coordinating the company's IPO in 1986. Previously, he was the Director/VP Finance of Sunflower India and was the President/Chief Operating Officer of Sunflower USA.
Uttiya Dasgupta, Director, Software Development, Integrated Decisions and SystemsUttiya has been instrumental in running an effective software development operation across Bloomington and India for IDeaS. In his 7 years with the company, he has setup a software development group for his company in Pune India, and architected/planned software products and projects for execution across multiple sites. IDeaS India is now a strategic partner to IDeaS US, a large part of which is due to Uttiya’s management and technical expertise.  Prior to IDeaS, Uttiya worked for Texas Instruments (TI) Bangalore, India from 1985-1992 as one of their first software engineers; TI was the pioneer in setting up a software subsidiary operation in India. The success of TI India in the late eighties led to the “software off-shoring revolution” in Bangalore and India that is making waves today.  Following TI, Uttiya worked for IBM Global Services, India from 1992-1996, as one of their first software managers; in this role he managed the first ever overseas dedicated software center (ODC) for a foreign client. Uttiya also worked with Samsung Electronics Corporation, India  from 1996-1997 as  their General Manager responsible for coordinating software development projects outsourced from Samsung Korea to Indian software companies.  Uttiya has significant experience in both sides of outsourcing, having worked in both India (in outsourced projects) and in the US (as an outsourcer of projects). He brings strong capabilities in strategic planning of offshore operations, launching and consolidating software development in offshore locations, architecting software products that are conducive to design/development/testing across geographical locations and management of technical projects across distributed locations.
Howard Latham, Executive Vice President, Operations, API Outsourcing.  Howard Latham is responsible for application development, product management, customer care, and all of API's production facilities. As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Latham leads the company's quality initiatives. He is the former CEO of VISTAinfo, a publicly traded outsourcing and technology provider for the real estate and financial services industries. Prior to VISTAinfo, Latham led the effort to transform a division of Moore Corporation from a print provider to an Internet-based solutions provider. Additionally, Latham spent 18 years with IBM in a variety of enterprise sales and technical leadership roles. During his last position with IBM, Latham led product management activities for the Enterprise and Network Computing Group.
Dr. Rajiv Tandon, CEO, President and Chairman, Adayana. Rajiv brings over 30 years of experience in business, consulting and higher education. Prior to forming Adayana, Rajiv held the same positions at LearningByte International. His leadership placed the company among the 50 fastest growing companies in Minnesota for three years in a row. LearningByte was acquired by DigitalThink in October, 2001.  In academia, Rajiv was Director of Corporate Venturing Programs at the University of St. Thomas and taught MBA courses in new venture management. In 1992, he was awarded the Edwin M. Appel Prize by the Price-Babson College Fellows Program "for bringing entrepreneurial vitality to academia". The same year he was honored with the "Excellence in Teaching Through Innovation" Award by the graduate and undergraduate business programs at St. Thomas. Currently, he is an adjunct professor and conducts creative problem solving workshops at the University of St. Thomas and Nova Southeastern University.  Earlier, Rajiv served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Operations for National Car Rental, Inc. with responsibility for all operations, sales, marketing and licensees. He also served as President of the American Car Rental Association.  Dr. Tandon holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, with honors, from the Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. At the University of Minnesota, he earned an M.S. in Operations Research, and both an M.B.A. and Ph. D. in Entrepreneurship. Under a Bush Leadership Fellowship, his doctoral dissertation in entrepreneurship examined critical success factors in emerging companies and built a model for evaluating the success potential of new opportunities.
